Film and Video Graduates Continue to Shine

Film & Video

School of Communications and Arts Film and Video graduate Tim Barretto has had his film 'Before the Dream' shortlisted as a finalist at this year’s ATOM Awards.

Tim, who graduated at the end of 2013, made "Before the Dream" as part of his Film and Video coursework and is shortlisted in the 'Best Experimental' category of the Tertiary and Industry Awards.

The ATOM Awards is one of the most prestigious and enduring screen events in Australia. For over 30 years, the awards have been celebrating the best of Australian and New Zealand screen content from the education sector and screen industry professionals.

Another Film and Video graduate, Brett Conway, has had his film 'Stop Coffee' selected as one of only 2 WA films to be featured in the shorts program at Rottofest 2014. Rottofest is a weekend of comedy, film and music held on Rottnest Island from the Friday, 19 - Sunday, 21 September.

Brett made the film in the final unit of his course and joins fellow FAV and WA Screen Academy graduate Melissa Smith whose film 'Touch' was WA's second, and only, other film shortlisted.
